Highlights so far

The sweet Peter's family invited us to dinner and FHE. Christine Peters (left) the mother, lost her husband last November to cancer. She is holding her family together so very well. Terri (right) is the oldest child from her husband's first wife, and she came home to help the family. Grandma Peters is from Niua, been on 7 missions, and lost her husband over 20 years ago. He is buried in her front yard. Elliott is turning 17 on Thursday, Lydia is going to college next month at BYU-Hawaii, and Oliver 9 loves video games. 8-3-09

Oliver Peters, with his 86 year old grandma Peters. We found another Sis. DuVall.

The Bishop's wife and her daughter. They brought the three children to the church to be baptized, and took them home again. 8-1-09

This sweet young girl about 14, along with her two younger brothers got baptized. (Notice the font behind us.) A caring sister in the ward made the candy necklaces "ula" to congratulate the children. After the baptism she handed them to me, encouraging me to hang them around their necks. I did, along with giving them a kiss on the cheek which is the custom. I was so filled with the love of the Lord for these children and myself, I was moved to tears. 8-1-09

We went with the missionaries to teach Andy. He wasn't home, so Elders Fisihetau and Masaniai called him from their cell phone. He arrived shortly, and we followed him in the dark to his front door. He reached inside the screen, pulled out a hammer, and pryed off the board that he had nailed across his door for a lock. We followed him inside. As we watched gecko's running around on the walls, we talked, and felt Heavenly Father's spirit. 7-29-09
