These two books touched my life so much that I can't take them back to the library. I just like to have them in my presence. I think blogging about them will help me part with them.
In 2001 the author Gracia Burnham and her husband were kidnapped by a terrorist group with Osama bin Laden ties. They were held captive in the Philippine jungle for over a year. IT'S WONDERFUL. She has great faith in Jesus Christ. What an inspiration.
Tass Saada is a former Muslim. He worked under Yasser Arafat as a Fatah fighter and sniper. Years after immigrating to America, he became a Christian.
We went to Logan for the weekend, and I forgot to take the book. Now, I get to finish it. So far, so great. (If it looks like I took this photo in the bathroom, I did. This is where I do a lot of my reading.)
I love to read books about people's lives. I told a little about this book in yesterday's post. On December 31 I began the 29 day challenge a day before New Year's so I could be sure I would really begin on January 1. Her book inspired me. I'm still on schedule fulfilling my resolutions - and it's already January 6. What books do you like to read?
