Indoor seed starting

Each year,( at least for two), I have counted backwards on my calendar from Mother's Day.  We are on week 7-8.  Seed packets tell you how early you can plant them indoors to get a jump start.
Two weeks ago I planted some geranium seeds in my little peat pots, watered and covered them, and placed them on heat mats.  They get such TLC.

As soon as they germinated, I put them under grow lights.
How exciting, they are beginning to grow.
Last week I started echinacea, after the seeds were placed in the fridge for a week, to simulate being outdoors.  They too, have germinated.  I also planted a jack-be-little pumpkin seed.  Can you guess which one that is?
Growing plants are truly a miracle. This weekend I will start my seeds that can be planted 6-8 weeks early.  I can't wait.

I'm learning to enjoy it too, when I don't feel overwhelmed or like I have to be in the yard all the time. We planted some veggies in the garden. I don't know if they'll come up since it's a lot colder this year. You're doing great with your blog. Love yoU!
